Did J.R. Williams name the various characters in his comic strip OUT OUR WAY?

I know a couple nicknames: Worry Wart (Willet?) and Goldie.

I heard recently, that actor Jeff Chandler was the inspiration for James Bama for Bama's Doc Savage covers for Bantam Books. Does anybody else know if this is true? I can see the resemblance, but would like to get some cold hard facts.

I recall a television show that aired in the middle to late 60's about a guy who was about 6" tall, and was used in espionage. He was transferred around in a specially constructed briefcase. It was live action, and I think Marshall Thompson (?) was the star. Does anybody remember this show, and if you do: Name that show.

When Micky Dolenz played in Circus Boy, his name was Micky Braddock. I realize that was a stage name, but I am curious. Where did they get the name from? I can find no relatives with that surname. Anybody have an answer?

The Paw (pah?) patch?

The other night on Jeopardy, an answer concerned a song that my wife and I both remember from our childhood.

The lyrics of the refrain are "way down yonder in the pah (or is it spelled "paw") pah patch."

We can sing the song, but have no idea what it is about.

So, can anyone tell me what a pah pah is?

I collect early children's series books by the above author. Jerry Todd, Poppy Ott, and the others. I have all that were published and some other material also.
I would ask if anyone here has, or knows of, a website or message board that deals with them?

I love any and all 'jungle' movies, but I have a question. How much of the native dialogue is authentic and how much is made up by Hollywood script writers?
I'm pretty sure words like "ungawa" are studio creations, while words like "bwana" might be authentic Swahili or whatever.
Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

I've been doing some research into the career of Eddie Anderson and his role of Rochester on the Jack Benny Program.

While most references and radio logs give exact episode dates for the first appearances of the major players (such as Kenny Baker, Phil Harris, etc.) I've not been able to find much reference to Anderson.

His first appearance is documented in some radio logs and in the Benny "Sunday Nights at Seven" book as being on March 28, 1937 an episode called...
